Clive is Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA) with over 30 years experience in Local Government Finance. Prior to becoming a director of Resources Consultancy Limited in 2008 Clive was Corporate Director of Resources at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. 

In his role with Solihull MBC from 2000 to 2008 Clive was responsible for some 300 staff providing strategic and operational financial services and was also the Council's lead financial negotiator for a number of successful public / private partnerships and Trust arrangements. During this period the Council achieved a 4 star rated Council Tax Benefits Service, a good rating for each component of the Audit Commission Use of Resources Assessment and the Risk Management Processes were recognised as being notable good practice.

Clive holds a Practising Certificate granted annually by the Chartered Institute Of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) which requires compliance with the Institute's Standard of Professional Practice for Members in Public Practice (SoPP).
